After crossing at Picton on the Ferry we arrived in Wellington. After catching some sleep we headed into the city to see Gee's friend Tara who attends University in Wellington. Today was St Patricks Day so in the evening we went out to all the Irish Pubs and Bars and had a great time.
It was soon time to move on, so we said goodbye to Tara and headed North towards somewhere called Rere where there were natural rockslides. Essentially, you throw yourself down some water covered rocks in a rubber donut! It was all Gee's idea - who it turns out was the one who got hurt! We tried going down together and all you can hear in that video is Gee yelling "ow, ow, owwww!" as her knee scrapes on the rock :( She couldn't walk right for two days!
But all in all, it was fun, we just won't be doing it again! There was also a pretty cool sunset on the drive to Lake Taupo and Gee managed to get some pretty photos!
