Ecuador was eventful but seriously expensive so we headed back to our favourite beach in Peru - Mancora, Las Pocitas. We looked online for the lovely hotel we saw the last time we were on the beach and techy Gee managed to scope it out for a cheap price! Yay! Gap year living on a budget went out the window! It was called Los Corales and was a small but friendly pocket of perfection! We got there in the middle of the night and taxi driver may have been a little reluctant to take us down a dark, bumpy, deserted road! Luckily for us the lovely guard at Los Corales took pity on us and, even though our room wasn't ready, let us sleep on the sun beds! When our room was ready it was definitely classed as a "room with a view" - it was beautiful and right on the beach. Our whole stay there was wonderful and I would definitely recommend anyone to go!
